MAEKAN

MAEKAN, a digital publication and community, was founded by Eugene Kan and Alex Maeland to tell stories for the curious. I worked at MAEKAN in many capacities, doing the following things at various times—designing the website, decks, and layouts; making social media posts and videos; conducting interviews and writing stories; commissioning, producing, editing, and publishing stories from contributors; managing the community and organizing online panel discussions. With MAEKAN, I also participated in the Unexpected Connections Conference in Long Beach, CA in November 2018. Links to some of the pieces I wrote are available on the Writing page.
